Come visit the newly rebuilt Phoenicia Library, the first Passive House designed, energy efficient library in America !  You will find our pretty little yellow building at the heart of the village of Phoenicia, at 48 Main Street.  Other than books and DVDs, the Phoenicia Library provides free, fun and funky programs and events for kids and adults.  Check out our webpage for current offerings.  We offer public computers and printers, free WIFI, and a super friendly staff.

Our new children’s room and yard features a comfortable place to play with some Catskill-themed toys.  The library has a special collection of fishing related books in our charming Angler’s Parlor which was designed as to resemble a fishing shack, using 150 year old boards from our original building.  The library offers many comfortable spots to sit and read, work, or simply be.

All services are available to the general public.  Feel free to ask the staff for local recommendations of activities and information about the town.  A cardholder from any library within the Mid-Hudson Library System may check-out our books and other special items, including a ukulele or a fishing rod!. View Map
